Model P-03 Universal is a SACD/CD/DVD video disc transport. The “P03UNI” provide 14 bit Processing and HD video resolution up to 720p/1081i/1080p(from conventional DVD’s)
The p-03UNI is the high-end Home Theatre of ESOTERIC’S video playback devices. Highly acclaimed VRDS-NEO mechanism( newly developed vibration free, rigid disc clamping system), AC power drive components, chassis construction, and cosmetics… the P-03UNI shares most of its basic design features with the P-03. the new P-03UNI integrates proven, high quality video processing technology with enhancements by ESOTERIC, providing hight definition (HD), video resolution from your existing DVD collection. Unlike other players using 10 bit or 12 bit video processing, the P-03UNI is equipped with the latest 14 bit/216 MHZ video D?A converter from Analog Devices, and the newest video scaling chipset from anchor Bay Technologies plus ESOTERIC’s custom video output stage. This provides for DVD video up-conversion capability as high as 1080p(progressive scan).
In addition to conventional playback, the P-03UNI (when used with the companion D-03 DAC), features PCM to DSD signal conversion and native DSD mode for Super Audio CD. Users may select suitable digital conversion options based on personal preference relative to the type of soure material used or the category of software selected.
